In her presentation Dr Rogers took the participants on a journey through the technological development from the 60’s up to present time with focus on the Internet of Things.
Her presentation hugely inspired the participating educators to think of learning in a broader view and see what is possible if we allow teamwork, networking, mistakes, fixing and most of all play into education! A way of learning which is giving students creative digital literacy in a world with robots, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things. Thank you!

Live coding demos are risky – but Dr Lucy Rogers did an excellent and entertaining job of taking us through the stages of “Hello World” to “Tweet responding dinosaur” using Node-RED. She shared her enthusiasm for using fun and creative ways to solve problems. Although the audience were developers, Lucy showed that the simplicity and ease of the software she used could be embraced by everyone. I believe many were inspired to try it.
