At Blackgang Chine our animatronic dinosaurs are great fun. Lucy brought in an amazing team who showed us how to use off the shelf parts and free software. We can now fix things immediately (well most of the time!) and change what the dinosaurs do whenever we want. This has saved us time and reduced our costs. It has also given our technical teams a much greater sense of ownership and therefore much greater job satisfaction- which is important to me. We have the ability to use our own creativity to enhance the Park.

We had great feedback about Lucy’s talk, with both our review panel overwhelmingly reviewing it as “excellent” and event attendees of all ages saying they found it “inspirational”. We would love to have her speak & host workshops at future events!

In her presentation Dr Rogers took the participants on a journey through the technological development from the 60’s up to present time with focus on the Internet of Things.
Her presentation hugely inspired the participating educators to think of learning in a broader view and see what is possible if we allow teamwork, networking, mistakes, fixing and most of all play into education! A way of learning which is giving students creative digital literacy in a world with robots, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things. Thank you!

Lucy is a brilliant communicator with the engineering experience to back it up. She had the audience captivated with her fun and informative keynote at the launch of the Wuthering Bytes festival 2016.

Live coding demos are risky – but Dr Lucy Rogers did an excellent and entertaining job of taking us through the stages of “Hello World” to “Tweet responding dinosaur” using Node-RED. She shared her enthusiasm for using fun and creative ways to solve problems. Although the audience were developers, Lucy showed that the simplicity and ease of the software she used could be embraced by everyone. I believe many were inspired to try it.

My only complaint about the writing of Lucy Rogers is that there isn’t enough of it

Lucy gave the most wonderful keynote at Inspirefest 2015. Our international audience loved her. She is unparalleled when it comes to making her science talks at the same time informative, engaging and entertaining

Lucy impressed me by finishing her PhD in record time while having to deal with complex people issues in an SME where she was seconded. She can make even the most complex stuff sound simple. A true completer-finisher, Lucy sticks at tasks until they are done to quality, time and budget targets

Lucy was the keynote speaker at the International Women’s Day Conference at the University of Chester in 2014. Lucy’s talk about her career in Science and Engineering was totally inspiring. Students and members of the public at Lucy’s evening talk, (including myself), went away with a feeling of renewed confidence in their own abilities
